Abstract

This study evaluates the predictive validity of the Achievement        Test, the Aptitude Test, and High School Grade Point Average in forecasting the first-year Grade Point Average for College of Science students at the University of Hafr Al Batin, Saudi Arabia. Analyzing data from 876 students through a correlational research design, the study identifies the Achievement Test as a more effective predictor than the Aptitude Test and High School Grade Point Average. Additionally, it highlights gender differences in the predictive power of High School Grade Point Average. These findings suggest the need for a multifaceted approach to predicting academic success and have significant implications for the university’s admission policies. The study advocates for future research to include non-academic factors in predicting academic achievement.
