DEVELOPING FUTURE SKILLS FOR PRIVATE SECTOR EMPLOYEES ACCORDING TO THE HUMAN CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IN LIGHT OF SAUDI VISION 2030 FROM EMPLOYERS’ PERSPECTIVE

This study aims to develop future skills among private sector employees according to the Human Capability Program in light of Saudi Vision 2030 from the perspective of employers in the southern region in relation to the variables of gender and years of relevant experience of the study sample. The study sample included 102 employers (67 males and 35 females). To achieve the study objectives, we developed a questionnaire of 12 sub-skills distributed into four skills: high-level thinking skills, social and emotional skills, physical skills, and emotional skills. The study found a consensus among the study samples regarding the future skills necessary for developing the capabilities of private sector employees according to the Human Capability Program from employers’ perspective. All future skills were rated high, with an average of 2.38 and a standard deviation of 0.492. High-level thinking skills ranked first, with an average of 2.51 and a standard deviation of 0.616, indicating a high level of importance. Furthermore, the study results showed no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 significance level for the most future skills to be developed among private sector employees according to the Human Capability Program concerning the variable of employers’ experience, with the significance level for the values exceeding 0.05. Similarly, the study results showed no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 significance level for the most future skills to be developed among private sector employees according to the Human Capability Program concerning the variable of employers’ gender, with the significance level for the values exceeding 0.05.
