The academic performance of students at the university is very important because it demonstrates that students have acquired and mastered the skills and knowledge that allow them to obtain good employment opportunities in their fields of specialization. The objective of study is to assess and explore the factors influencing students’ academic performance at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University. A survey was conducted by using a questionnaire for information gathering about different factors relating to the academic performance of students. Quantile regression was applied to assess the effect of different factors on students’ achievement. The sample size was 239 students. The study revealed that place of residence, father’s education, mother’s education, father’s job, income, academic probation, attending classes, desire, number of hours spent on social media, an achievement test, general aptitude test, and secondary school rate have a significant effect on students’ performance at different quantile levels. It is concluded that the policymakers should focus on certain factors such as socioeconomic, and environmental to enhance the student’s academic performance.
