Abstract

Meningitis is a disease influenced by climatic variables. Its severity varies from a year to another and from one climatic zone to another. Burkina Faso is divided into three climatic zones: Sahelian zone, Sudano-Sahelian zone and Sudanian zone. The aim of this paper is to describe evolution of meningitis epidemic in these climatic zones. Our study is based on data collected during 2002 to 2020 from Burkina Faso health ministry. With QGIS software, we designed the map of Burkina Faso highlighting for each health region, the impact of meningitis epidemics. An exponent adjustment is made using the least squares method.
