Topological indices can be considered important because these are used to study mathematical models that show many physical, chemical, and biological properties of chemical compounds. Topological indices are widely used in both theoretical and environmental chemistry for correlation analysis of chemical composition. The topological index can also be seen as a numerical value that helps in identifying and studying the physical and chemical properties of molecules. In this paper, we define a new version of domination topological indices known as the second domination hyper index. Also, we study and calculate this new index for some graph families and some graph operations like corona product and join of graphs.
