As educators complain of students exceeding the duration for graduating, this paper develops a quality control chart to monitor the education process. Control charts are used in a variety of ways, operators use them for assessing, controlling, and ensuring the consistency of the manufacturing processes. By controlling the processes, the significant process changes will be minimized which can result in off-quality products. In this paper, the proposed control chart depends on the expected duration of stay derived via Markov model.
