Abstract

The present study is exploratory in nature and focuses on the patients’ satisfaction with out-patient department services in Saudian context. For eliciting patients’ responses, PSQ (18) which is a self-reported questionnaire was employed and translated in Arabic language for ease of use. The Arabic questionnaires were administered to 600 adult participants visiting out-patient departments in six private hospitals in Jeddah. Data on the seven subscales were analyzed through SPSS. Outcomes of the present study will help in enhancing the patients’ satisfaction within the OPDs in Saudian context. Furthermore, the results of the present study will also provide guidelines for policy makers in the healthcare giving institutions to improve upon the patients’ satisfaction viz-e-viz OPDs in KSA.
