Let $s$ be an $m$-sequence of period $N$ and $m$ be such that $2 \leq m \leq N-1$. Let $f_m(x, y)=(m x+(m-1) y) \bmod m N$ be a two-variable function defined from $\mathbb{Z}_N \times \mathbb{Z}_{m+1}^*$ into $\mathbb{Z}_{m N}$. In this paper, providing some of the properties of the function $f_m$, use it to construct an interleaved sequence of period $m N$.
